Fan of (hed) p.e. listen up because you are about to hit the motherload. Not only are one of the most creative bands in the world about to hit our shores with Nonpoint but as M.C.U.D (Jared Gomes) recently told HEAVY Mag there brand new album Stampede is about to drop – and you can expect some very different sounds on it.

“We have just been there so I didn’t expect to go back so soon,” says Gomes laughing when we begin to talk about the Australian tour. “My agent rang and said there was interest and it turned out to be one of those divine timing things because the record, Stampede, comes out five days before we get there… so that is just perfect. So we have the new record coming out and we have a new sound that we will be putting out at the shows, so we are having a really good resurgence in the States as well so I am really excited.”

“The last record came out almost three years ago,” he says as the conversation turns to talking about Stampede. “It was really like rock, but this record is the first record that I have done on a Mac. I’m really into trap music and hip-hop and have been for the last five years, even more than before that. So this record is a real reflection of that. In contrast the last album had no programming, where as this album has tonnes of 808s and subs and gangsta-trap programming, EDM programming mixed in with hardcorism… it really is the shit. I’ve also brought all this equipment that can replicate the gangsta-shit live so it has brought a new kind of sub and vibe to our live show that people are digging.”
