I have never been one to dwell on the negatives, so I won’t start now, but spare a thought out there for EVERYONE doing it tough and make sure you keep an eye and ear out for your mates and loved ones because this world can be cruel sometimes…

On the back of practically every state in Australia being cut off from one another, all that’s left is to discover new music and fall back in love with old, so with that in mind we have tried to bring you an assortment to choose from this week and take the focus of the events at large.

This week we feature Seether on the cover, with vocalist Shaun Morgan chatting to us about their upcoming five track Wasteland – The Purgatory EP. We also speak with Sleep Waker about their new album Alias, chat with legendary punk outfit Descendents about their album 40 years in the making, plus we have a great chat with San Jose hardcore outfit Maya who have recently released an early pick for release of the year!

We premiere the awesome new track Invasion from Australian metal machines Astrodeath and bring you new music from Sepultura, Thrice, Seether, U.D.O, Human Hell, Puppy, Act Of Denial, Arshenic, Hawthorne Heights, Powerwolf, Times Of Grace, Heligan, LLNN, Switchfoot and Underball.

On the news front we feature Australian tours from I Prevail, The Screaming Jets, and While She Sleeps, plus we have the scoop on The Killers new album, Exmortus‘ EP, (HED) PE‘s album and tour, Paradise Lost‘s live release plus Nightwish team up with Amazon Music for something special.

It’s a big week for new albums, and we review the All For One 30th Anniversary release from The Screaming Jets, Sleep Wakers new one Alias, Seether’s EP and the crushing Despierta from Maya.

HEAVY Cinema has plenty for you as well, with trailers for new movies Vacation Friends, Chip n Dale Park Life, Heels, Stuntman, and After We Fall plus we bring you news of Ouija 2 going into production. We review Spirit Away, The Mitchell’s VS The Machines, Dirt Music and Nine Days, and last, but not least, there’s a chance to win yourself tickets to the upcoming blockbuster Old.

If that doesn’t take you at least a six-pack to get through, then I give up!

Until next week, stay HEAVY

Krispy
