After 10 long years, one of Australia’s premiere live acts The Amenta are about to head back out on their first headlining tour later this month, with keyboardist Timothy Pope stopping in for a chat so good we had to make it this week’s cover. They are joined under the grill by Naugrim, 100 Years War and Nighteyes.

If your live music calendar still has room, we bring you a heap more announcements and updates from Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Churches Of Steel, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Atreyu, Plini, The Chats, Pop Will Eat Itself, Rise Against, Suffocation and Scar Symmetry, plus we reveal details of a monster New Years Eve party in Brisbane from Brewhouse Productions that promises to send 2023 out with a bang.

We are proud to premiere the debut album from Nighteyes, The Way Back Down as well as bring you new music from Days Like These, Catholic Guilt, Banks Arcade, Will Conn, All This Filth and Pincer+.

There’s a heap of new albums out this week, and our review team let you know what they thought of releases from F.U.C., Fuming Mouth and Helmet, while our live teams capture all the action from Wallapalooza 2023, Where’s The Pope and Grinspoon.

If that doesn’t get you fired up for the weekend nothing will!

Until next time, stay HEAVY
