It’s exciting to see the Australian rock and metal scene slowly come back to life. The amount of albums out and incoming means there are loads of interview opportunities as well, and this week rock outfit The Grand Union are our featured artist as the band joins us to talk about their new single Darkest Horse, which is also one of two premieres this week.

The other is from The Dreadful Tides who come out swinging on House Of Pain, and we also chat with those Southern rockers for all the goss.

We also speak with The Omnific, Twelve Foot Ninja, Maggie Alley and PSTCRDS about all of the goodness happening in the world of music.

There’s new music from Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Sunset Junkies, Jack G McDonald, Luke Seymoup, Before The King, Krave and Cold*Words and if its live music you are after this weekend have a crack at these shows!

We bring you information on shows including Ye Gods Of Metal, the new dates for Full Tilt Festival in Melbourne and Sydney, Portrait Lounge‘s rescheduled show, a couple of new ones for Alex James Brown and the Sunday Session at King Lear’s Throne headlined by Acid Cherry. The first in a series of benefit shows for a Brisbane guitarist diagnosed with a serious illness, Beat The Tumor, also reveals its line up for a show at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse on December 5.

The new albums/EP’s from The Omnific and Krave get the review treatment, with both out now, and the upcoming masterpiece from Twelve Foot Ninja titled Vengeance also goes under the spotlight.

Whatever you do this weekend, do it with a smile on your face and your horns in the air.

Until next week, stay HEAVY
