FULLY AMTD Announced Ft OCEAN GROVE, YOURS TRULY, YOUNG LIONS & More

Introducing…FULLY AMTD (pronounced “amped”), the inaugural fundraiser event presented by Australian nu-metal outfit, Ocean Grove. The stacked lineup also features Sydney’s Yours Truly, Brisbane’s rock group Young Lions, Aboriginal lead indie punk band Chasing Ghosts, cinematic rock outfit Hevenshe, Melbourne’s cosmic groove Squid Nebula and a DJ Afterparty Set by Adult Art Club. It will also feature guest speakers Richie Hardcore, Michelle Grace Hunder, Caleb Williams, Anne Jacobs and will take place on Friday 17 November at Melbourne Pavilion, Naarm/Melbourne.

This year, the lineup is being chosen by Ocean Grove’s very own, vocalist and official Support Act ambassador (2022 & 2023), Dale Tanner. The hope is to instil a sense of equality, diversity and celebration of Australian music with an event “by the community, for the community”.

It’s important to note that in alignment with the Support Act ethos, this event will run just like any other live event i.e. artists and crew workers will all get paid fairly, and no shortcuts will be made in ensuring every artist and crew worker involved in FULLY AMTD are still able to financially benefit from the event. Only once all expenses involved in the running of the event have been accounted for will every single cent from that point forward be donated directly to Support Act.

“I love music, and I’m so f**king proud to be part of the Australian music community. Over the last couple of years I’ve experienced first-hand the indispensable work that Support Act does to support musicians in crisis and it is such an honour to be an ambassador for Aus-Music T-Shirt Day again this year to help raise funds and awareness and give back to an organisation that has helped me and so many others in their journey.

This year I felt compelled to start something BIG to help bolster the fundraising effort of Ausmusic T-shirt Day. The campaign itself continues to grow in success and awareness each year, with many people from all walks of life donning their finest/filthiest gig tee, posting a selfie online and donating to the cause. However, I felt that there wasn’t a single live music event supporting the Aus Music T-shirt Day fundraising effort whose sole purpose was to promote and encourage the Australian gig-goers to converge in their favourite band shirts, watch some Australian live music and engage with the fundraising idea on a more visceral level.
