Rising from the remnants of Wake The Blind, Melbourne metalcore outfit Liar are just taking their formative steps into the wider musical landscape.
With a blending of genres weaving hardcore, emo, hip hop and metal, Liar are an amalgamation of the many styles that have influenced them, delivered with a youthful exuberance that only confidence can bring.
HEAVY’s newest team member Coco Le Sex Bomb sat down for a chat with vocalist Anthony Georgiou to discuss the band’s first two singles and how Liar plan to launch their assault on Australian metal.
“Liar is pretty much a metalcore band with lots of breakdowns”, Georgiou explained, “but the whole idea was just to make some tracks that were bangers. We initially wanted to try out different songs, sort of experiment a little, while staying in the conventional metalcore realm. We’ve just released two new singles, which is cool to see take off.”
