Melbourne alt rockers Figures have just released their debut single, Filter. The band came together at the start of 2014 after trawling through Melbourne’s musical classifieds. After a whirlwind of auditions, jams, line-up changes and rehearsals, the core members finally found the right mix.
After a year of writing, recording and a trip to the U.S, we have the finished product in the form of Filter, which has been released today. Vocalist Mark Tronson says: “Filter is about a sort of mass neglect that the first world current generation has on much larger, potentially dangerous issues. We hear things and read things, but ultimately see them as problems for someone else to deal with, as we’re too busy consumed by our own day-to-day superficial dramas.”
You can catch Figures at the Ding Dong Lounge, Melbourne on 1 April 2016.
