The last couple of years have seen Canadian alternative rock outfit Palaye Royale become a juggernaut to place them amongst some of the biggest bands in the world at the moment. From gaining thirty million YouTube view through to playing alongside Foo Fighters and appearing on the Vans Warped Tour this is clearly a band on the rise. Now Australian fans get their turn with the band coming to our shores so HEAVY Mag sat down and had a chat with Remington Leith.
“I am so fucking excited,” says Leith as we talk about the fact that this time they get to come to Australia and do a full tour rather than playing at a festival. “The last time we were there I saw that it was one of the most beautiful places that I had ever been. I am just so excited to go back. I fell in love with the oceans, it was one of the coolest things that I had ever done. I think it was Brisbane or maybe even the Gold Coast it was one of the best days of my life and I am also so excited to be able to come back and meet all the fans. Then we get to play a full set. I just can’t believe that we get to come back on our own headlining tour.”
“It has been fucking crazy,” he says when I ask what the last couple of years have been like with the band on the rise. “You dream about it as a kid and then when it actually happens you are like ‘what the fuck is happening?’”
