If you’d been keeping an eye on things happening over at camp Deadweight80, you would have seen that they’d recently taken on a new frontman. The thing is, during this process, they didn’t stop at all. Within weeks of him joining, they were taking to stages and hitting the studio to demonstrate the brand new upgrade.
Since the line-up change in May, they’ve hit 10 shows across regional and metro Victoria, as well as regional NSW, with another 8 shows across 3 states coming in the last few months of 2023.
Late August they finally revealed the first of many new songs to come, in the form of Disorient. Disorient focuses on the struggles of taking on life with no real guidance, a series of trial and error. The negative effects this can have on your mental health and ability to trust your own judgement, as well as the vices you may find yourself caught in to try and cope.
The single was accompanied by a music video which was released via BVTV, filmed on the fly guerrilla style, lending to the band’s DIY nature.
