Australia is in for a special treat as PK, frontman of Japanese/Korean juggernauts PROMPTS, will join CRYSTAL LAKE for their tour supporting OF MICE & MEN.
PK’s journey is definitely unique. He grew up in Korea, where K‑Pop dominated everything, but he and a small circle of friends were die‑hard metalheads. They bonded over blasting Metallica’s Master of Puppets on repeat.
PK has talked openly about how difficult it is to be a metal fan or artist in Korea with little money, little support, and almost no infrastructure for heavy bands. That struggle pushed him toward Japan, where he eventually joined PROMPTS and found a scene that deeply embraced heavier music “In Korea, it’s nearly impossible to get noticed unless you’re in the pop scene. In Japan, the opportunities are endless.”
Known for high‑energy, aggressive vocal delivery that blends metalcore grit with melodic phrasing. PK brings a cross‑cultural identity and personality that will add a unique new sound and message to CRYSTAL LAKE.
