Australia has produced countless heavy rock/metal bands over the years and every now and then one of them seems to suddenly reappear again, this being a gosh darn good thing for punters Australia wide.
Not to say they disappeared by any means, but when The Mark of Cain announced a new tour for August/September 2022 the diehard fans of these (genre defining) Adelaide heroes breathed a collective sigh of relief. You see, The Mark of Cain are an especially important Australian band with a back catalogue that speaks for itself, and in a live setting it is a different type of heavy!
To put it simply, a different kind of tension ‘22 could not have come at a better time, with venues playing catch up on the last two years on the back of a relatively dead music scene and what better way to“slam” back into the power of live music than with The Mark of Cain?
Upon speaking to John Scott (guitarist/singer/founding member) the mood was simple, as his genuine yearning to play live had reached its peak. Like everyone, he and his bandmates have been waiting, but now the days are getting fewer and fewer.
With the tour kicking off at the (now) iconic Max Watts in Melbourne with a string of shows all up and down the East, South and Southwest Coasts and with an already Sold-Out hometown show at The Gov in Adelaide to boot, this tour is set to slay leaving ear drums rattled and fans souls nourished for a little while longer.
If you are a well-versed fan, head along, if you haven’t heard of The Mark of Cain, do yourself a favour and grab a ticket and witness pure Heavy Rock fury in all its awesomeness!
