“It’s very much a Coheed & Cambria record,” assured drummer Josh Eppard of the upcoming album ‘The Unheavenly Creatures‘. “I think some of those themes, and some of those far-reaching… grandiose would be a word that comes to mind… some of those things that Coheed is known for are alive and well on this record. It’s a really long record, and one that we’re extremely proud of.”
After returning to the Amory Wars concept for their latest release Josh spills the beans in the full interview, giving greater insight into the album, how deviating from the tried and true path for their previous release helped reinvigorate the band, the depth and scale of their creation, how writing for a fictional idea creates new challenges from a writing point of view, the way the bands live set is crafted to allow songs which are individual pieces of the puzzle to flow seamlessly, the deluxe box set which will be a must for fans, just how far the band envisages the Amory Wars will continue, plus more.
Unheavenly Creatures, the title track from their widely anticipated new LP, The Unheavenly Creatures, set for release on October 5.
