CLAY J GLADSTONE Release ‘Where Do Ya Want Me?’ & Share Tour Dates

Share This:

Following on from the widely-praised release of Hate Club, Eora/Sydney-based punk-rock group Clay J Gladstone have just revealed live dates and their latest energetic cut Where Do Ya Want Me?, produced by ARIA Award Winning engineer Anton Hagop (Silverchair, Missy Higgins, Birds of Tokyo).

With its length and liveliness making it a fitting sequel to its predecessor, Where Do Ya Want Me? continues the group’s infectious trend of multicoloured, upbeat punk music with sinister underlying implications. Caffeinated with abrasive guitars and pounding drums, the single presents itself as unapologetically unfiltered and compellingly captivating.

Lead vocalist Tim Wisbey talks about the meaning behind Where Do Ya Want Me?: “The song is about putting up with a toxic relationship and not having the guts to call it out. Lyrically, it’s sarcastic and passive-aggressive. Saying what you really feel albeit under your breath. We really wanted raw production with this one, fuck the auto-tune off (not that we’re against it) and spit some realness into an over-produced world. We just wanted this to be straight-up swag rock with a touch of horniness.”

To celebrate the release, Clay J Gladstone will be embarking on their debut East Coast headline tour, appearing in Naarm/Melbourne, Meanjin/Brisbane, and an already sold-out hometown show in Eora/Sydney (180 tickets within a week). The band have made regular appearances at AM/PM Emo Night, and have shared the stage alongside Ocean Sleeper, Hellions and Deadlights.
