Fresh from belting out a six track demo with King Parrot’s Squiz at his Krap Shack Studios, Melbourne “bong blasting, Sabbath worshipping grind from Hell” outfit Choof are gearing up for an eight date run up the East Coast to let EVERYONE know they mean business.
Bass player Jackson sat down with HEAVY for a chat about the tour and Choof’s music, starting with the collection of six songs that is set to announce Choof to the world.
“We’ve been smashing them out for the last two years in our drummers factory,” he enthused. “Smashing them like you would not believe! We just wanted to get it done. When Squiz said he was setting up something out in his garage – the Krap Shack – we said yeah man, we’ll be your guinea pig (laughs) so let’s jump in.”
In the full interview, Jackson runs us through the songs on the demo, the single Lines In The Sand and why the band chose that as their lead track, working with Squiz and King Parrot in general, their self-imposed band description and how they manage to mention Black Sabbath and grind in the same sentence, the upcoming tour, more new music and plenty more.
