There’s just 51 hours to go to get yourself a piece of the upcoming Chimaira Crown of Phantoms CD/DVD.
The band undertook the tried and tested fan funded route to raise funds for the new release and set their target at $30,000 USD. With less than 2 days to go, the band have far exceeded their original campaign and have so far raised a staggering $54,202 USD.
Using funding site Indiegogo, the band tell potential donators “We’d like to offer our fans a full multi-media experience that works alongside our new album. Tons of exclusive extras. Let’s take a trip.”
The fan funded version of the release will only be available to those that have contributed to it’s creation and your efforts are rewarded with some extra perks.

*A uniquely stylized documentary surrounding the album’s creation
*7 additional audio tracks exclusive to the Fan Edition
*Various behind-the-scenes videos
*Expanded version of Dr. Z w/ fan determined ending
*Full-length album commentary that features dialogue from all band members as they listen to the album from start to finish

Like all fan raised campaigns, the more you pay the better the perk, with the most expensive item on offer giving a fan the chance to appear in one of their music video’s. Not just as an extra either, you and a friend of your choosing will be incorporated into an integral part of the video’s storyline. You just need to get yourself to Cleveland, Ohio for the shoot. The band are graciously offering to pay the winning bidders accommodation however. So far 1 fan has claimed this perk, worth $2000 USD, out of the 3 on offer.
