Comprising members of well known local outfits Crowd Kings, Beneath the Rising Tide and Decimate, Melbourne’s Capital Enemy have a vast array of experience and knowledge to draw from, a fact not lost on drummer Matt Evans.
“Obviously you get influence here and there,” he surmised, “which you kind of tie into one. It’s good because we have creative differences which really does help with the writing process so I find that you’re not stuck inside that real tight wall, you can more bounce off each other and say hey, what do you think about this? Do you reckon it needs more of that kind of sound that they’re used to and we exchange ideas and come to a final decision that works for us all.”
