BURY TOMORROW Light The Flame

Share This:

Black Flame! Remember the name! Not only is this a milestone album for U.K. export Bury Tomorrow but this is an album that is guaranteed to land on a few ‘Best Of 2018’ lists as well. The album is pretty bloody special and caps off an awesome first decade to their career.

During that time the band have played at virtually every major European festival, performed to sold out tours and had two albums race into the charts. Now the whole of the U.K. is talking about Black Flame, due to the fact that the teaser singles have already added to the band’s millions of Youtube views. When HEAVY chatted to vocalist Daniel Winter-Bates he said that this has become a time for the band to reflect on their career to date while nervously wait for the release of Black Flame.

“Yeah we are excited,” he says when we talk about the mood surrounding the band at the moment. “We’re at that difficult point where we’ve got the record done and everybody is about to hear it especially from a media point of view, but we really just want the fans to hear it because there is buzz and they are getting excited. We’re sharing that excitement with them but we want to see how the album will connect with fans. The first single did really well so we are at that itchy part now where we just want to release it.”

He is quick to agree that this is one of the most frustrating times for a band – the time between an album being completed and the time that it is released to the public. “Yeah it is the worst time,” he says with a laugh. “That is the truth, but yeah it is part of the game and we’ve come to accept that and we’ve gotten used to it. We’ve been through it before and we’ve even had it worse before. At least this time around we are doing a lot with this campaign and we know that a lot of people ahve heard it in the media so it has been nice for us to be able to reflect on it and have some input with people and be able to talk about it. Yeah it is the most frustrating part but it is all part of the game and it is how it goes with records.”

Black Flame will be released on July 13th.
