FROM ASHES TO NEW on February 3 delivered an intense and captivating new single Nightmare, taken from their upcoming as-yet-titled fourth album due this summer. THE HU — Mongolian rock sensation and UNESCO Artist For Peace ambassadors — On February 10 shared a new version of their 2022 ground-breaking single This Is Mongol. With featured guest vocalist /guitarist William DuVall of Alice In Chains now appearing on the updated track, This Is Mongol (Warrior Souls) further highlights the song’s original message of promoting Mongolian culture and empowering environmental awareness by adding English-translated lyrics, sung by DuVall, and an unforgettable
chanting chorus: “Hey, We are warrior souls, rolling like a river of fire / We are warrior souls, running down the dragon to slay / This is our way (This is our way).”

DIRTY HEADS – Southern California alternative rock band Dirty Heads released their new single Rescue Me and announced the first of three EPs dropping this year. The music video, directed by Jay Teegardin and Dirty Heads vocalist Jared Watson, reflects the tone of Rescue Me featuring surf, sand and images that evoke the spirit of California.

NOTHING MORE – On February 24 NOTHING MORE released a new version of the impassioned single YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT LOVE MEANS, taken from their 2022 critically acclaimed studio album SPIRITS. Frontman Jonny Hawkins adds to the emotional lyrics and tone by lending his impressive piano skills and enlists rock singer/songwriter Taylor Acorn on guest vocals.

FIRE FROM THE GODS – Following from a busy and highly successful 2022, the Austin-based rock band Fire From The Gods were thrilled to announce the release of a brand new single Thousand Lifetimes (feat. Corey Glover of Living Colour). Taken from the band’s highly praised latest record Soul Revolution, the single gains new life with the Corey Glover collab.

CLASSLESS ACT – With the David Bowie documentary Moonage Daydream shortlisted as Best Documentary for the 2023 Academy Awards, Classless Act, one of the hottest new rock bands to emerge in 2022, pays tribute to Bowie with its double-A-side digital single, All The Young Dudes, and Starman.

THE FUNERAL PORTRAITThe Funeral Portrait released their brand-new single Alien and was accompanied by a music video. Alien further showcases the band’s songwriting capabilities and ethos. In their own words: “The Funeral Portrait stands to represent the outcasts from all walks of life. The misunderstood, the different, the neurodivergent, LGBT+, marginalized, and any others given an unfair hand in life. To offer a sense of community, a place to belong, a space where they can feel safe and accepted for their differences. We all grew up “the weird kid” who was saved by music & the alternative culture, so we feel obligated to return this to the younger generation”.

CORY MARKS Cory Marks released his latest video I RISE from the same titled rock-infused EP. “This EP was a blast to create and it’s very special to me because it’s rooted in my edgier rock side,” says Cory Marks. “Every track allowed me to push myself vocally and gave me one hell of a challenge, but it also allowed me the time to focus on writing rock songs that express my passion for the genre and this side of who I am as an artist”.
