The Battle to Survive Yourself with MARK DALBETH

“I’m feeling pretty good,” enthused bass player for Rav Medic, Mark Dalbeth, ahead of the bands’ upcoming debut album ‘The Battle to Survive Yourself’. “I initially thought I’d just write a few songs on the acoustic guitar and do a sort of mellow, folk thing and then every song kind of got heavier and heavier (laughs) and I was like shit, I probably need to make a rock record because that’s what I’m used to. It is basically just ten songs and every song has got a different singer so people from around the world have sent me their parts and I’ve put it together and it is pretty cool!”

In the full interview Mark talks about moving to L.A from Australia with his band Bellusira, the difficulties in making the transition, how it feels going from being a big fish in a small pond to being a drop in the ocean, the difference in music scenes between the two countries, a more detailed look at the album and the guest vocalists, the content of the record, where the title comes from and more.
