Adelaide rock outfit Audio Reign have today released their fourth single from their self-titled debut album, “One Way”.
The song typifies the rock nature of the band, highlighting the relationship struggles faced by partners on both sides of the fence.
“The song is basically about the end of a relationship that’s broken down over a period of time,” explained vocalist Jake Fleming. “It’s about a female partner who is very self-obsessed and into herself as opposed to the relationship and the guy has had enough because there’s no attention there. It’s all about her and you’ll see that in the film clip. We didn’t want to make it too serious so we added a bit of humour there, like the Foo Fighters sort of thing, just so we could make it come across a bit smoother. It’s not about anyone particular, it’s just one of those songs.”
In the full interview, Jake talks us through the video film clip, keeping humour in your music, the importance of having variety within your music, choosing singles for release, potential new material and more.
