Five years in the making, Animalhead are finally ready to unleash their debut album Blood, Sweat And Beers on September 25.
In 2017, Animalhead booked in a weekend slot at the Lab Recording Studio in Auckland. With a limited understanding of how a conventional album was made they decided to record the instrumental parts of 15 tracks in two days. Being told by many that the way they had recorded; no click-track, live, minimal pre-production and some songs in one take, made the recordings unusable, Animalhead were at a crossroads. Deciding to soldier on with the tracks they had, they enlisted the help of the masterful Zorran Mendonsa. They finished recording the vocals, extras overdubs and mixes and now the band have come out the other end with a solid 10 song album that they are proud to present to the world.
