Having never heard this three piece from Italy before I was happily surprised with what the lads brought to my heavy metal listening ears.  We get nine tracks that show the thrash crossover with elements of hardcore and speed punk in the mix. On the thrashing intro Electroshock, front-man Ste sounds like an Italian Max Cavalera. Title track Party With The Wolves shows some frantic bass playing from Ste as he lets out a few welcome screams. Phil is a force to be reckoned with battering away behind the kit and it’s no wonder they refer to the two as Battery and Bass, with Phil and Ste respectively.

Newcomer Alex shreds on third track Wrong Execution with some bone crushing riffs and the samples add to the atmosphere. The stomping riff gives the song an edge and drum rolls by Phil lead up to some more screams from Ste who takes it home. Track highlight Cranial Trauma starts with a tame drum roll and a riff that sounds like something coming from a modern punk record. The song gets interesting after some thrashing the Italian stallions do best with their battery and bass combo. At around one minute fifteen into the track the song slows down, and we get a groovy riff from Alex that shows the bands diversity.

Circle Pit is another cracker of a track. The title alone is what the song was made for. The riff hits like an anvil dropping on the head of Wile E. Coyote on a Looney Toons cartoon. The fury of the band is as prevalent as ever. Ste‘s screams seem to get angrier as the album goes on. Black Out another favourite due to its punk attitude and hardcore presence that would feed the hunger of any Black Flag fan. Ending with the aptly titled The Endless Story of Outer Spaces Attack and a sample of what sounds like a robot shutting down, sadly shows that the Party With Wolves has come to an end. Overall, Ural has left us with nine solid tracks and nothing to spoil the party. You will find no party poopers here as the band know how to throw a good party and make heavy music that is fun to listen to. Much respect! \m/
