Forming in 2013 from the ashes of iconic Melbourne outfit Christbait, with fellow guitarist Craig Westwood and vocalist, Jason Vassallo being joined by Jason PC of Blood Duster, Dern Rutlidge and brothers Adam and Ben Stokes, on guitar and drums respectively. Having released two digital downloads the band released their debut full-length, the self-titled monster of a record with 9 killer tracks recorded by this super-group of sorts at Jason PC’s very own Goatsound and Toyland by Adam Calaitzis  Blood Duster, Damaged and Dern Rutlidge. Mixing was shared between PC and Billy Anderson who has worked with the likes of Melvins, Sick of it All, High on Fire, Cathedral and Sleep. As you would expect the sound is top notch.

Album opener Hubble makes way for some stoner grooves and that distinct voice of Vassallo. Some nifty guitar solos are thrown in for good measure and things get doomy on next track Liar. The heavy hitting riffs create a deep hole that is filled in by more infectious guitar solos. Smoke is a standout track with a catchy chorus and favourable riffs which really bring the best out of the musicians. The band really deliver on all cylinders here.

The clean vocals on 10 Paces make way for more infectious guitar solos and the bluesy In Dirt allows one to spark up and wait for what is to come with more doomy debauchery from the lads. The song changes from laid back, slow paced rhythms to outbursts by Vassallo. The longest track on the album it makes for an interesting listen. For the remainder of the record from the stomping Volcano to the ringing guitars of  final track HangingThe Ruiner leave you hanging for more. You won’t find any filler tracks here.
