Slipknot have produced their first musical surprise of the year, dropping their new single Arsenal.
Arsenal is the bands first taste of what Slipknot sounds like moving forward after the departure of turntablist Sid Wilson and sampler/keyboardist Craig Jones. It is also the first track with new drummer Eloy Casagrande behind the kit and hints at a return to the heavier side of their musical psyche.
Arsenal comes with a typically disturbing music video from M. Shawn Crahan, with guitarist Jim Root recently revealing work on Slipknot’s next album is currently underway.
