Brisbane based metalcore lords Among The Ruined have just released their new single and music video Common Creature, which was premiered via HEAVY Mag.
Common Creature is the title track from their forthcoming album. The album was completely self-produced and was mixed by Justin Aufdemkampe (Miss May I).
“Lyrically Common Creature talks about the deepest state of depression Paddy has personally experienced,” the band said. “Depression is the common creature that lives within a lot of people, yet there doesn’t seem to be much communication about it with a lot of people holding it in and keeping it hidden. It expresses the guilt and shame he’s felt being someone that he hates. Sinking deeper into this hole feeling like no one could care less, just to brush it off and say it’s not a big deal.“
The band recently released their single The Road, which was premiered via Hysteria Mag. The single was aired on over 100 radio stations worldwide and gave fans the first taste from their upcoming album release. The boys successfully toured the single in venues across Queensland.
New single Common Creature is available on all major online stores and streaming services.
