C.O.F.F.I.N and Mini Skirt from Gadigal and Cavanbah, Bundjalung respectively are two NSW bands with swelling reputations and followings for their individual takes on hard Australian rock’n’roll music and energetic approach to live performances. 2020 saw them both releasing full length albums during the deep midst of social lock-downs, in a harsh climate of closed venues and cancelled tours. Both albums were massive independent successes, selling out multiple pressings locally and followed by releases in Europe and USA.
The next release on the cards is a split 7″ EP planned for September, featuring two songs from each band. Penned during lock down and recorded together over 1 day in February with Owen Penglis (Straight Arrows) at Golden Retriever studios, Marrickville they again with Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Total Control) on the mastering duties. Both Mini Skirt and C.O.F.F.I.N keep up their momentum of continuously putting their best work forward.
