As if to prove the current healthy state of Australian music this week we feature interviews with five of our finest, starting with fresh Adelaide rockers Higgs Field who talk about their debut album Paracusia. Punk tinged outfit Clay J Gladstone and metal monsters Flaming Wrekage stop in to talk about their new singles – both of which premiered during the week with HEAVY – and Wolf & Cub and The Atomic Beau Project give their thoughts on the upcoming The Other Festival in Brisbane.

There’s new music from The Wolsten Butchers and The Stranglers while Bobo makes his 2021 debut with another rollicking episode of 12 Rounds With Johnny Boxer.

Regurgitator give details of their nationwide cinema venture UNIT20 and we have all of the latest on Si-Fest 2021 which happens on February 20 at The Mansfield Tavern in Brisbane. Si-Fest has been put together to support Massic vocalist and HEAVY writer Simon Russell-White who nearly lost his life after heart complications late last year. The struggle is real and local outfits Adriatic, F.U.C, Diskust, Piston Fist and A Somerset Parade have answered the call while Elephant and the mighty Azreal come back from long lay-offs to pay their respects. All of the information is inside so sit back, crack a Jack and welcome the weekend with a healthy dose of homegrown music.

Until next week, stay HEAVY,

Krispy
