The divine CHAOS DIVINE

Share This:

It is no secret that the Chaos Divine fans are starting to get rowdy. It has now been three years since the release of Colliding Skies but everybody relax because HEAVY Mag has got some great news for you. Recently we caught up with guitarist Simon Mitchell and he assures that there will be a new album about before the end of the year… and of course they are about to hit the road with their good friends Voyager.

“We thought we would hook up with the Voyager guys,” says Mitchell with a laugh. “We have a history of playing together in Perth, we played together a lot a few years ago… and we did some really good shows so it just seemed fitting really. Yeah… I am really looking forward to it. We also have a history of partying together so it could get interesting… but we are getting old.”

That turns our discussion towards their brand new album and Mitchell thinks for a second when I ask him what fans can expect to hear on this album. “I think like most of our albums it is a bit of a mixed bag,” he explains. “But I would say that genuinely it has moved towards a heavier direction. The song that we have coming out soon is very indicative of that. It is a lot heavier and a lot faster than anything that we have done since the Avalon days but yeah I am really looking forward to seeing how people will receive it because it is a bit different to the last couple of records that we have done.”
