Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) has told Metal Hammer (video below) that he’s started work on his fourth book, which is titled America 51. The title, which is a play on, Area 51, the world famous military institution, which actually doesn’t officially exist! Taylor has said the book will deal with: “…just how bat shit crazy my country is right now, in good ways and in bad ways,”
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Taylor explained the premise of the new book: “(It’s) going to deal with everything from politics to social commentary. It’s going to piss off a lot of people in my country, but everyone else will love it.”
Taylor and Slipknot will soon be embarking on a huge North American tour with Marilyn Manson and Of Mice & Men.
