WORTHLESS EARTH Rise From The Dust With Debut Album

Share This:

Worthless Earth are another emerging band on the Australian metal scene.

Initially started as a solo project by Alice Springs guitarist/lyricist Kyle Mines (Miazma) to create something fresh on the local scene, he soon enlisted guitarist Josh Bollard (Exdemission/Uncreation) to the fold and the pair started work on what was to become their debut album Buried.

With Buried out today, July 16, Mines caught up with HEAVY to talk about the project.

“Basically it’s just an expression of a bunch of dramas I was dealing with,” he said. “I wanted to put it in verse and to music. It was a process of about three years, and we managed to make it happen. There was a lot of stopping and starting, giving up and getting back into it, but we finally got there.”

In the full interview, Kyle talks more about the album and the lead title single, the three-year process and why it took so long, the album themes and how they relate personally, previous bands and what they contribute stylistically to Worthless Earth and more.
