With Echoes In The After, UK black metal legends WINTERFYLLETH unveil the second single from their upcoming album, The Unyielding Season, out March 27, 2026 via Napalm Records.
Inspired by the felling of the Sycamore Gap tree, a landmark near Hadrian’s Wall, and adapted from a poem from Sir Philip Sidney’s 16th-century epic The Countess Of Pembroke’s Arcadia, Echoes In The After is a powerful atmospheric black metal lament to nature and social commentary in one. It comes with an official new music video, visually underlining the lyricism and transforming it into something that’s visually tangible too.
WINTERFYLLETH’s ninth album is a social commentary wrapped in meticulously crafted poetry and prose. Where the preceding album, The Imperious Horizon (2024), described an ominous, malevolent force lurking in the distance, The Unyielding Season now explores said threat becoming a reality.
