WILD WREN announces the release of new singles (In)Security and The Monster, as well as a re-release of 2024’s I’m A Bird – the group’s latest recordings showcasing its signature melding of alternative blues and indie rock. Fresh off summer performances, the Austin-area act charts new musical ground in the three tracks, blending guttural, groove-based riffs with infectious vocal hooks.
(In)Security struts with swagger, as the project’s founder, singer, and guitarist Kenny Hada lays funk rock rhythms and earnest lyrics over an indie dance drum beat. Layers of driving guitar parts build energy and convey urgency in the song’s second half.
