Melbourne based songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Vinny Galactic has released his new single, Alone, today via XMusic.
Alone is dedicated to a close friend of Vinny’s who has recently passed.
On the extremely personal nature of the lyrics, Vinny comments, ‘This track was written about my personal experience dealing with my unwanted separation from my wife, and the loss of my family unit as I knew and wanted it over the last two years. It’s extremely personal and emotional to me. During that time, I wasn’t intending on releasing the track. I was just looking at cleansing my emotions for healing purposes. I began tracking the song in my own personal studio. My best friend heard it and was surprised it wasn’t riff based like most my other tracks, but loved it. He was also going through a similar experience, and he could relate to my pain.
Unfortunately, he passed away unexpectedly in March…Going through such trauma changes you. During the last few months, I began to feel compelled to to get the song out there for others who may relate to it’s message, and may benefit themselves in their own healing journey.“
