Metal music staple Michael “Mike” Spreitzer has announced a new band, Verona on Venus (VoV), along with a full-length debut album, Popular Delusions, to be released on January 19, 2024. The single track Rodent is set to release on Friday, December 1, 2023. The Rodent music video, directed by Vicente Cordero (Industrialism Films), will premiere on Friday, December 1, 2023. Verona on Venus’s debut album Popular Delusions and single Rodent will be available across all major music streaming platforms and available to purchase and download on Apple Music.
Popular Delusions is a “cross-over” within nine songs that progresses from a heavy metal sound into industrial metal while maintaining fluidity and possessing a unique styling reminiscent of the heavier sounds of the 90s. This genre-agnostic album is topped off with a new take on The Bones of Baby Dolls by Acid Bath from the band’s album When the Kite String Pops, released in 1994.
