Perth-based melodic death metal band VANTA unveil their new single – Kuyang — a new chapter in their evolving sound and vision, and continuing their ascent as one of the most exciting modern voices in Australian heavy music.
Formed in 2020, the trio have been crafting something unique in the melodeath space, an approach that fuses their influences with experimentation, storytelling, and a cinematic edge. Writing, recording, and releasing on their own terms, the band have built a DIY path defined by passion and conviction, showing what can be done without industry gatekeepers. Kuyang reflects that momentum, both sonically and thematically. Inspired by Indonesian folklore, the track builds on the darkness hinted in previous singles Empty Shell and Sandstalker, pushing deeper into the world VANTA are creating across their upcoming full-length.
