Tim Lambesis Bail Lowered

Share This:

It’s been a busy few weeks at the San Diego North County Superior Courthouse as more shocking revelations have surfaced at the bail rescheduling of As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis.

The frontman had his bail reduced to $2 million dollars, down from the original $3 million that was ordered. One of his lawyers, Thomas Warwick pushed for it to drop to $250, 000 but Judge David Berry refused. Warwick claims even this amount will be a struggle for his client to pay.

Part of his defense is the other revelation that Lambesis has been abusing steroids and according to his lawyer “ his thought processes were devastatingly affected by his steroid use.”. Lambesis’ wife Meggan, who he’s accused of hiring the hitman to have her killed, hinted at his recent obsession with his body image as one of her reasons for filing for divorce after 8 years of marriage.

His payment of $1000 given to the undercover detective he thought was the hired gunman was for initial expenses and was going to provide a further $20,000 to go ahead with the murder, was also revealed at the new bail hearing.

Another lawyer from the defense team, Anthony Salerno has been quite vocal that Lambesis has been set up and has gone as far as blaming his ex wife’s family with being involved in the conspiracy. “Tim never had the intention to harm his wife, absolutely not”, claims Salerno, “This whole thing was a set-up by a scumbag snitch, and then law enforcement ran with it.”

Lambesis  has had one of his charges of conspiracy to commit murder dropped but remains in custody where he has been since his arrest on May 7.
