After a tumultuous couple of years of cancellations and determined reschedules, the ‘slightly heavier’ music festival Thrashville is ready to take a stand this weekend, delivering its biggest line-up in its 6-year history, with heavyweight progressive rock three-piece COG headlining the festival in 2023.
Whilst COG will headline the stacked Saturday program, the Friday will be headlined by another familiar heavy rock act, Mammal. Both of these acts have suggested new music releases in 2023.
Thrashville is a festival that traditionally bends and weaves its way through a myriad of styles and genres and in 2023, they do not disappoint, with some great programming across the two days, featuring a mixture of both established and emerging acts from all around Australia. Other notable acts include Melbourne’s proto punk CIVIC, Sydney experimentalists SHADY NASTY, garage rockers CROCODYLUS, femme soul punkers DOWNGIRL, emerging indigenous act from QLD WILDHEART , and Australia’s premiere satanic gospel experience DANE BLACKLOCK & THE PREACHER’S DAUGHTER.
Held in the lush bushland confines at Dashville in the Hunter Valley, the popular two-night alternative festival, will also serve up other cool stuff like tattooing, live graff and pro skateboarding displays.
For now, though, it’s all about the music, so please welcome to the Thrashville stage the full line up for 2023, with playing times revealed below.
