With The World Is A Vampire Festival Tour wrapping up earlier tonight at the Gold Coast’s Broadwater Parklands, HEAVY thought it fitting to take you back to the first day of the run at Brisbane’s Eatons Hill, which featured Brissy rising legends PistonFist as local opening support.
The festival – thanks to One World Entertainment – took in a total of 10 cities in 15 days, also providing invaluable stage time to localized bands XCalibre (Melbourne), Normal Behaviour (Adelaide) and The Silencio (Gold Coast).
Big kudos to the organisers and to Billy Corgan who brainstormed the idea to include a troupe of wrestlers which only added to the occasion. Also thanks to Jane’s Addiction manager Michael James for allowing us unprecedented access to the band for photo opportunities.
Feast your eyes on these photos from Eatons Hill, and remember, this was just the first day of a travelling festival that will go down in history as one of the best to visit this country.
