Gold Coast’s music venue of the year 2021 and 2022 Mo’s Desert Clubhouse is setting the scene on the coast as a staple in the Australian music touring circuit for heavy and alternative bands.
Over the next month, five iconic heavy, punk and metal internationally touring acts, THE VELVET CLUB, THE BENNIES, THE GROGANS*, OCEAN GROVE and ROLLERBALL are all stopping at Mo’s as part of their national tours.

The Grogan’s sold out in a day and the other shows are selling fast! It proves that the Gold Coast wants heavy music and we are happy to house it.” Kimberly Ferguson, Venue Director.

THE VELVET CLUB have flooded onto the national indie rock scene. After kicking off 2023 with a new single Lose Track and the announcement of a forthcoming EP, these Melbournites are headed on a national tour and are set to headline Mo’s on Thursday, March 2. Australia’s premiere psychedelic reggae ska doom metal punk rockers THE BENNIES are taking on their first Australian tour since 2019. With new members and songs under their belt, these legends will be at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse alongside Southport’s Fast Johnny & The Slow Burners on Friday, March 03.

The self-described ‘Aussie oddballs’ OCEAN GROVE are getting ready for their Bored Of The City East Coast Tour. Off the tail of their new album Up In The Air Forever, this grunge metal outfit are hitting Mo’s stage on Thursday, April 27 with Deez Nuts and Bloom.

ROLLERBALL are bringing their Aussie stoner rock goodness in celebration of 25 years of low-down, ball-swinging sonic soundwaves. They’re taking it back to where it all began on the GC at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse with riffs, sweat and beers. The Black Armada and The Panasonics are set to support these rock legends on Friday, April 28.
