Emerging independent artist The Taciturn is tearing down the walls of the Australian music scene with the release of the new single, You Got Nothing from his new album Where Walls Once Stood. Rooted in the raw tradition of Brisbane pub-rock but infused with a “venomous clarity” and the influence of his father’s love of The Shadows, the track has already ignited international interest.
“This track is about the feeling of being the only one at fault and getting all the blame for the demise of a marriage” says The Taciturn. “The lyric is simple and the vocal while not perfect has all the punk attitude and energy I wanted to encapsulate.”
Recorded with a focus on energy and grit, the single marks the first major push from The Taciturn’s upcoming album. With local momentum building, The Taciturn is proving that world-class rock is still being forged in Australia.
