Formed in Ballarat, Vic in April 2021, The Sinsemillian is a psychedelic metal outfit led by bassist/vocalist Jay Barrett along with guitarists Hayden Farlow & Val Perkins, keyboardist Sam Cougar, and drummer Zac Fernandez.
There is no one way to describe The Sinsemillian sound. All five contribute ideas to each song written, and those ideas are often as different as the five members themselves. The simplest way to describe the sound would be as a tasteful mix of the hard-hitting, hazy doom riffs of Black Sabbath and Sleep, combined with the ethereal atmospheric soundscapes of psychedelic/progressive bands such as Pink Floyd and King Crimson.
The band recently released their live album Metamorphosis, a “slightly distilled, rough around the edges display of The Sinsemillian experience captured from three of our live shows across 2022/23.”
