SoCal icons and one of rock music’s best-selling bands of all time, The Offspring, have debuted the accompanying music video for their recently released track This Is Not Utopia off their chart-topping tenth studio album Let The Bad Times Roll.
Directed by prolific and renowned video artist Sam Bayer (Director of iconic videos, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Welcome To The Black Parade and many more), the music video highlights the song’s topical lyrics, and is meant as a social commentary on the upheaval of our times and ultimate fragility of America. Featuring a powerful performance delivered by band members in gas masks, the video is intercut with microscopic images of blood – which is a nod to the current world crisis but is also a sly wink to lead singer Dexter Holland, an unlikely rock star with a PhD in Molecular Biology.
