Start training now Australia! US punk institution The Menzingers are back and ready to ignite the stage playing a handful of special shows in Australia & New Zealand this August.
As one of the last acts to set Aussie stages on fire before the world shut down in early 2020, they were rabid and keen to party, unleashing a sonic punk-storm that left their die-hard fans howling for more.
Armed with their seventh album, Some of It Was True, The Menzingers have returned with a vengeance. Decades deep into it, the band have evolved, matured, and embraced the inevitable changes life brings. Yet, with Some of It Was True, they have delivered their most immediate sounding and energetic record to date. “This record is a pivotal moment in our history.” They declare. “We have the liberty of our fans growing with us now, and after writing these lyrical songs about where we are in life, we decided to take other peoples’ stories and make something bigger out of it.”
Coming along for the ride for the Australian dates will be local legends, The Cutaways (Brisbane show), Something Something Explosion (Melbourne show) & Chinese Burn Unit (Sydney show). New Zealand supports to be announced at a later date.
