Melbourne chaotic alt metal outfit The Last Martyr share their angry new single Burn It Down and prepare to launch it live at headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne later this month.
Targeting the tyrannical systems that control our society, Burn It Down is an aggressive outpour of emotional catharsis. “Burn It Down is about wishing we could press reset on the world and start again,” explains vocalist Monica Strut. “It touches upon the control of women’s bodies and the governing of other marginalised groups – wishing we could burn down all the oppressive systems humans have created over the years.”
The Last Martyr will share their new single live, alongside more unreleased material, at two headline shows this November at Melbourne’s Bergy Band Room on the 10th and Sydney’s Burdekin Hotel on the 18th. They have also announced they’ll headline the inaugural all-ages Sanctuary Festival in Frankston on December 9.
