After the great radio success of “The Wait for Closure”, the Danish hard rock / heavy metal act THE KILLERHERTZ comes back with a new video and single. The new song is called “Chasing Ghosts” and anticipates the band’s third album “Starburst” to be released later this year.
“Chasing Ghosts” sees Thomas Trold protagonist with his scratchy voice, this time engaged in more refined melodies, while the melodic line of the anti-chorus is reminiscent of the last period of In Flames. Another great job for the Kastrup-based band, formed in early 2011. Their sound is mainly inspired from the 80´s and 90´s heavy metal scene (mostly Metallica and Megadeth) mixed with a modern rock approach from the Danish rock-scene (Volbeat).
Previously the band has already released two LPs in 2014 and 2017 – “A Killer Anthem”and “A Mirrors Portrait” – both mixed and mastered by the legendary Metallica producer Flemming Rasmussen. In 2020 The KillerHertzreleased the “Innocent Sinners”EP, mixed and mastered by Niklas Sonne.
The KillerHertz crafted a melodic style, with harmonious guitars, tight beats, and catchy choruses. The lyrics are based on personal experiences and express the multi-faced aspects of life, addressing issues such as crisis and broken relationships, which most people can relate too.
