THE DUKE Celebrates Fourth Birthday With Massive Two Day Party

Enmore’s beloved live music institution, The Duke, is marking its 4th birthday with two nights of unmissable performances. Since opening its doors, The Duke has become a beacon of music, art, hospitality, and rock & roll, embracing the eclectic spirit of Sydney’s Inner West and standing tall as a champion of emerging artists.

Friday, October 18
The celebration kicks off with a powerhouse line-up of local talent. Headlining are Body Type, a post-punk quartet, with a mammoth following, whose scuzzy rock sound has electrified stages across the city. They’ll be joined by Lady Lazarus, whose fierce blend of grunge, punk, and riot-grrrl is as unapologetic as it is captivating. Their Halloween-themed single release, Hannah Banana, is a celebration of queer love, and the band invites everyone to dress up and get in on the spooky fun. Also joining the bill are ARSE, ready to bring their trademark intensity to The Duke’s stage. As a band, they are totally devoted to the crowd – it’s loud, it’s brash and totally in your face!

Saturday, October 19
Prepare for a night like no other as The Big Four Supergroup (presented with Hardline Media) takes the stage in an epic tribute to the legendary bands Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, and Anthrax. Bringing together some of Australia’s heaviest metal icons, this one-time-only event is set to be an unforgettable homage to the gods of metal. Featuring members of Desecrator, Harlott, Sumeru, Fangz, Bloody Legend, Burden Man, Bad Moon Born, Killrazer, In Malice’s Wake and plenty more special guests and DJS.

For four years now, The Duke has played an integral role in Enmore’s live music scene, cultivating a space where emerging talent, queer artists, and the Inner West’s creative community thrive. This birthday celebration underscores The Duke’s legacy as a hub for boundary-pushing music and unapologetic self-expression, solidifying its place as a beloved cornerstone of the city’s cultural landscape.
