The Cult have released a new video off their album, Hidden City, which was released in February this year. The track titled, G.O.A.T (Short for Greatest Of All Time – not an actual GOAT…bahhh)
The film, directed by Juan Azulay and produced by Ian Astbury, depicts amateur mixed martial arts fighter Orlando Friolera alongside his trainer and mentor Diego de Vera of Miami’s Knockout Zone Gym. The clip was shot in the Everglades Little Haiti and Liberty City in Miami, Florida.
The song’s title is an acronym for GREATEST OF ALL TIME. The film symbolizes The Cult’s identification as cultural outsiders, revealing the mystique of a lone fighter who, through discipline and integrity, rises up against all odds.
