The Amity Affliction have announced their highly anticipated new record Not Without My Ghosts will arrive on Friday, May 12. Today the band reveal another cut from the album, It’s Hell Down Here, which frontman Joel Birch describes as “a letter from myself and Ahren, written by me, to our friends who have passed on to the other side.”
The album’s 10 songs were self-produced at Grove Studios in New South Wales. Talking about the record, the band reveal “’Not Without My Ghosts’ mostly deals with the paradox of not wanting to be alive, and yet needing to stay here, while also mourning the loss of friends and trying to use the music as catharsis.”
