Young Henrys, Jameson Whiskey, together with Tiny Minds Agency, are combining forces for the second time to announce Tailgate Festival, taking over the Burleigh Bazaar on Saturday, June 4. Back bigger and better than ever, Tailgate Festival promises a stacked musical agenda, great food, and kickin’ hot rods for a killer afternoon on the sunny Gold Coast.
Co-headlining the Burleigh Bazaar and making their very long-awaited return is Adelaide natives Bad//Dreems and party punk rock heroes Private Function. Making their mark on QLD soil are Sydney cult punk-rockers Johnny Hunter, after the grungy-skater-punk boys from Rockhampton, Pandamic have Queenslanders throwing down on the dancefloor.
Taking the day, into the night is Brisbane band, Full Flower Moon Band with their heavy riffs and stage presence afterthe inter-genre sound of new wave punk enthusiasts Radolesent. Local lords The Lonesomes will be keeping the atmosphere alive following the alluring and powerful sound of The Hunkz. Kicking the day off is newcomers Daylight, ensuring good music is on a high as punters enter through the door.
As this is the greatest calibre of Australia’s punk rock bands, party goers get the chance to win a ride-along in a @deathwish_hotrods as well as a whopping $300 bar tab courtesy of @younghenrys and @jameson_anz .
Buy a ticket between now and May 29 to go in the running. Brownie points if you tag your mates in the Tailgate Festivals video via Tiny Minds Instagram which went live May 10.
