BENGAL TIGERS Announce Final Local Show Before Heading To Germany

Share This:

Melbourne’s BENGAL TIGERS are Australia’s premier old-school heavy metal band.

Having formed back in 1979 the band was a big part of the scene during the 80s and 90s releasing legendary heavy metal anthems such as Cheat On and Break and Bend. Their 1982 Metal Fetish EP is a stone-cold classic and is still revered to this day.

After a quiet period in the early 2000s the band has recently returned to career-best form with a constant slew of great live shows and as a new generation discovers the magic of 80s metal, the BENGAL TIGERS are still here to show the kids how it’s done. In fact, the recent buzz has earned them a calling over to Germany this April to be part of the legendary Keep It True Festival. It marks the first-ever European appearance for the band in what will be a massive occasion.

In preparation for the big trip, the boys are playing one more special show at Melbourne’s beloved Heavy music club DV8 on Sunday, March 10. This will be the band’s last show before conquering overseas. Joining the boys will be 5 piece Melbourne based band with Death, Black, and Progressive metal influences ESCARION, TIGER DRIVER, a crushing death metal band from Melbourne, and RARE PHENOMENON, a new young Melbourne band delving into the world of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. This promises to be one hell of a party.
